The Cry of "Peace and Security!" happens.
Someone needs to inform ISIS!
the july 15, 2015 study watchtower article entitled "your deliverance is getting near", along with the jw broadcasting video entitled "gerrit losch: fortified by "the prophetic word," and chapter 21 of the god's kingdom rules!
book presented a large amount of new light or clarified understanding of the events of the great tribulation.. here i am presenting it in chronological order -- this is the governing body's updated chronological order of events for the time right before the great tribulation through armageddon:.
the final sealing of the anointed occurs just prior to the outbreak of the tribulation.
The Cry of "Peace and Security!" happens.
Someone needs to inform ISIS!
i worked a different shift.
i knew the people i worked with, but not as well as i could have.. anyway, religion comes up.
one guy mentions in front of another that i wrote a book about my religious experience.
Ignorance: How can you say that? The Bible has been proven to be right?
OTWO: What part is proven?
Ignorance: I don't know. But it has
This world is in freaking trouble.
so i went to get a burger just now, and a couple of elders from my former congregation caught me off guard.
they started giving me the we feel so sorry for you, you must be so lonely bit.
i kept telling them im doing great and im not lonely but its like they couldnt hear me talking.
I'd be willing to bet you could go all the way with at least one of them. But be prepared for a judicial committee because most likely their cult training would kick in after the fact and they'd confess to the elders.
You just threw a wrench in the works. Your right, all I would be doing is asking for trouble. So I think I’m going to scrap the whole thing.
Being married to a person you did not choose could be as bad as being in a religion that you choose because of the hidden baggage you were never told. parable misapplied: " the field is the world"
I think your idea is better, " the field is the world"

Wasn't there a talk of something recently where one of the GB said that there was something wrong with a brother who wasn't a Ministerial Servant by the time he was 23 and that a sister would be foolish to get involved with him?
You know Pete Zahut, I'm going to call them on that. I am going to bring up the direction given by the GB to all sisters to be interested only in someone that is ministerial servant. But before I do, I'm going to play them to see how far they are willing to go. Consider it a social experiment.
i went to see the new mad max movie last night: "fury road.".
this post-apocalyptic world is not recycled gray, it is blazingly colorful australian desert terrain with wide shots that will stop your heart.have you ever seen an heironymous bosch painting of hell with its where's waldo panoply of brutish, demonic, figures inflicting torments willy-nilly as far as the eye can see?
well, fury road makes bosch look like a knit-one-purl-two doily maker at a sunday brunch.. director miller has thought about this movie, planned it, sketched it, worked it, perfected it millisecond by millisecond before scene one was ever shot.one second of onscreen activity has more interesting business happening than two hours spent by a voyeur in a nudist colony of playboy bunnies.. what is watching this film all about?
Terry, I believe you missed your calling.
I was NOT going to see the movie, but now I am.

If your not a "spiritual man" you can't date or marry one of the congregation princesses. Even if you are a hard working man with values and character.
I use to think that but before I left, two couples moved in to our hall, both brothers were disfellowshipped but not the sisters. Both couples were recently married. The Sisters married the brothers "While" the brothers were disfellowshipped. One sister admitted that even though he(her husband) was disfellowshipped, he was technically still in the lord-aka a Jehovah Witness.
I will keep everyone posted I have to check it out.

So I went to get a burger just now, and a couple of elders from my former congregation caught me off guard. They started giving me the “We feel so sorry for you, you must be so lonely” bit. I kept telling them I’m doing great and I’m not lonely but it’s like they couldn’t hear me talking. So they start telling me that I should go back to the hall because------------------
A bunch single sisters have moved into the congregation looking for capable brothers. 3 regular pioneers, 2 aux pioneers working part time, 1 with two children and 1 with one child. All in their 30s.
Nothing was said about coming back to Jehovah before Armageddon.
It was about the sisters. So they said there was a group going to see the new movie Jurassic World coming in June or July and all these sisters would be there, and if I go they can introduce me to them. (One elder said they have already seen a picture of me---------WTF)
They know I’ve been inactive for over a year so I have no idea why they would want to hook me up with a “Spiritual Sister”.
I was going to tell them flat NO, but I’m kind of curious what
kind of sisters these women are.If I get the courage I might check it out, it's to tempting to just let it go. (Don't worry, I won't get tempted to go back,I've got some non-jw girl-friends) I just have to see this, it's like checking out the two headed goat in a circus.
have you noticed the article entitled "watch your associations in these last days" in the new august 2015 study watchtower?.
unless i'm reading it wrong, or somehow misinterpreting it, it is saying that we should be kind to intentional breakers of god's laws inside and outside the congregation, including fornicators, but that we must not be close associates with them.. are they already preparing for a shift in their disfellowshipping practices?.
here are the relevant paragraphs:.
For example, if we were to have close association with sexually immoral people, we might be tempted to practice immorality
(Heaven's forbid, who in their right mind would want that)
i saw a rumor a few weeks ago on reddit that the new imitate jesus convention is supposed to present new light and clarified understandings on the disfellowshipping/disassociation practices.. supposedly, if this rumor has any truth to it, there will be a talk given at the convention about how we should not be strict like the pharisees in how we shun people, loosening up some of the jw rules about this practice.. has anyone here heard anything about this or have more info on it?.
And ask the question; Did Jesus Shun People?
(Matthew 7:23) . . .And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness. . .
Should we shun our relatives?
(Luke 14:26) . . .“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own soul, he cannot be my disciple.
So let’s imitate Jesus!!!
i just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).
i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.
my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.
WelcomeIwasblind--sowasi
I was an elder and pioneer for many years, and when I finally woke up, I moved to another hall across the city and faded totally. When I see former JW friends, I try not to engage them in JW stuff. You can't reason with them unless they are ready to wake up. It's been one hell of roller coaster ride. But not having to deal with Field service, tons of meetings, crazy teachings like you can't say bless you when someone sneezes or toast when drinking champagne, and disfellowshipping someone for touching someone breast but forgiving a child molester, is a huge weight off my shoulders and my health has improved 100% since I left.
Here's to you and your wife's good health.
